February campaigns 2011

Every year, Bristol runs campaigns around Valentine’s Day, highlighting the fact that February 14th isn’t a hearts and flowers day for everyone. While some of us are thinking about dinner out and celebrations, some of us are thinking about another year with an abusive partner, another year of living in fear.

This year, there are four major campaigns going on, and it’s never too late to get involved.

Same sex domestic violence and abuse

Although we know that domestic violence and abuse happens in same sex as well as male/female relationships, it doesn’t get a lot of attention. Safer Bristol are running a blog – http://lgbtmessagesbristol.wordpress.com - where people can leave messages of hope for anyone in a same sex abusive relationship.

Leave a message – someone out there needs to hear it
