North Bristol forum

The North Bristol Domestic Abuse Forum is a group of professionals based in North Bristol who work in some way with victims and survivors of domestic abuse. This includes local police officers, GPs, community health workers, social workers, and voluntary sector specialist staff.

The group meets at different venues in North Bristol every couple of months to update on what’s happening around domestic violence and abuse in North Bristol, and to plan upcoming events raising awareness.

Its aims are:

  • To promote a high profile for domestic violence and abuse (DVA) by working together and sharing ideas, funding and knowledge
  • To promote public awareness of domestic violence and abuse and sources of support in the north of Bristol.
  • To develop an annual workplan of events around DVA in the north of Bristol
  • To feed into work and development around the Jigsaw initiative in north Bristol
